Best wood floor oil products
Investing in a quality wood floor oil won’t just provide a nice finish, it can also protect wood flooring from damage. Although often not quite as heavy-duty as lacquers, wood oils can provide a more natural finish and are often preferred in locations where the aesthetics of the wood are more important than heavy-use and long-term durability. Some of the oils we recommend are Marldon Hardwax Oil, Bona Craft Oil 2k and Osmo Polyx Oil.
How to apply wood floor oils
If your wood floor has been previously treated with a varnish or lacquer, you will first need to sand the floor completely back to remove any lacquer from the surface. Once the floor is clean and clear of any dust, the wood oil can be applied. First stir the oil thoroughly, before applying a small amount to the wood floor using a roller or stiff brush.
