Water-based primer for untreated wood floors, creating a medium-light wood tone, Bona Classic UX offers simplicity in application, drying quickly, and easy abrasion with standard methods. It provides a solid base for any Bona topcoat, with EC1PLUS classification ensuring very low indoor air emissions and compatibility with underfloor heating.

Preparation:
Ensure the floor is adjusted to its environment. Sand the surface to bare wood, ensuring it's dry and free from dust, oil, wax, and other contaminants. Sand with a 120-grit abrasive, such as Bona Quattro Disc, for optimal results. Allow the product to reach room temperature. Ideal application conditions are 18-25°C and 30-60% relative humidity. High temperatures and low humidity speed up drying, while low temperatures and high humidity prolong drying. Minimum application temperature is 13°C. Note: Some wood species, like Teak or Ipe, may require special attention due to natural ingredients that affect drying time or colour. Test on a small area if necessary.
Application:
- Shake the container and insert the provided filter.
- Apply Bona Classic UX evenly using a Bona Roller or T-bar applicator, covering around 8-10 m²/litre and avoiding excess buildup.
- Allow to dry for approximately 1-2 hours.
- Once dry, lightly sand to reduce grain raise using the Bona Scrad system or a sanding screen (preferably 120-150 grit). Alternatively, apply a coat of lacquer before sanding to minimize grain raise. This coat can be applied within 24 hours of applying Bona Classic UX without sanding.
Remove dust and proceed with the desired topcoat.
